Introducing catalonia to swedish students

Our partners arrived on Monday 25th September at 10 p.m. We welcomed them at Plaça Granados and we all went back home.

DAY 1:

Our partners arrived on Monday 25th September  at 10 p.m. The next day we went to Sagrada Família. Once there, a guide showed us everything about Sagrada Família and Antoni Gaudí i Cornet. The lighting was great, and the inside building was very well maintained but  the outside is being rebuilt. After that, we went to the Picasso Museum. We didn’t have anybody to tell us about the museum, but we did have an audio guide that told us the descriptions of all the paintings. They were magnificent! When the activities had finished, we came to Sabadell and we met to make them feel at home.

DAY 2:

On the second day, we met in “Plaça Granados” at 8 a.m and we headed ourselves to Montserrat by bus. When we arrived, we took some photos and then we climbed a bit until we reached a place where we could have breakfast. Once we finished, we went to a cross to see the views and they were amazing. We took a picture all together and then we climbed up more. We took a little break so we could go to the bathroom or drink/eat something, so we could start walking down the mountain.

By the time we were done in the mountain, the teachers told us we had some free time and that we had to meet in the place we started some time later. We visited the church and took some more pics. When the planned time arrived, we all got on the bus and came back to Sabadell. On the way back home, we had a little problem. The bus got stuck in some plants and we couldn’t continue, so we went outside the bus for the driver to move the bus, and finally, we arrived in Sabadell safe and sound. In the afternoon,  we all met to spend some more time together.

DAY 3:

On the last day, we went to the Barça museum by coach. We took a lot of pictures. The Barça museum was very cool! We were able to observe the construction of the new Camp Nou. Then we were able to go to the barça shops for some time.

After the museum, we went to the Barceloneta neighbourhood where we had some free time to go for a walk around the beach or to go shopping. Finally, when we went back to Sabadell we had a farewell get together. We brought some food and we listened to music in the school’s gym. Some students played football or volleyball in the playground.

In conclusion, we loved it and we had so much fun those days. We really recommend the experience and we are so excited to go to Sweden and see our partners again. It has been a small amount of time that we could spend together but we really enjoyed it!
